Workshop: Chalk Painting 101

Introduction to Vintage Fusion and the many uses of the paints, how to apply while demonstrating brush stroke, amount of paint to load on the brush and other best practices and methods.

SUPPLIES USED (All Provided by Vintage Fusion):

(2) Flat Pine boards with no grooves or moldings

(2) 6” raw wood molding pieces

Paints & brushes and a 'make & take' picture frame project

FINISH B: SMOOTH FINISH USING CLEAR WAX

FINISH C: TWO - COLOR DISTRESSED

FINISH D: PAINT/CLEAR WAX MIX APPLICATION

This workshop will ensure that you acquire a strong knowledge of how to use paints, brushes and products, stains and finishing oils. We will also review preparation of paint, methods of custom color matching, finishing techniques, antiquing, distressing, etc. We will discuss ways to enhance furniture pieces using stencils, gilding waxes, etc. This is a great workshop for anyone wanting to get into refinishing furniture as a DIYer.
